  • Description

The original decoy anchor is what gave “Tanglefree” its name 50 years ago. When used as intended, you can just drop the decoys, line and anchor in your decoy bag and go. You no longer need to wind line around bodies and neck because the line eliminates potential decoy tangles and birds nest knots. This anchor is Tanglefree. The Original Tanglefree Lead Anchors have superior performance when paired with Tanglefree depth adjusters and Original decoy line, but they can be used with other brands of decoy line. Compared to other decoy anchors, this “Tanglefree” anchor system does not require the purchase of decoy line crimps. Best of all, this decoy anchor system allows you to adjust for varying depths of water. Available in 12 packs of 4oz and 6 packs of 8oz anchors.

    4oz - 12 pack

    8oz - 6 pack

Been useing nothing but tanglefree forever it's been so long I run 130 total decoys out of my 18 ft boat it's the only thing that works I have been hunting ducks hard for over 50 years don't even think about anything else

Perfect weights for shallow marsh

I use these on my decoys that I use in a marsh. All the weeds just shake right off. A couple wraps of the decoy line and in the bag they go. Easy.

Great anchors

These 8oz were exactly what I was looking for to support deep water rigs. Only recommendation is that tanglefree create a 'how to' video for the 8oz, as they are not the same as the 4oz rigs.

I have used Original Tanglefree anchors for 40+ years on my duck decoys, including magnum mallards. On the very rare occasion that I needed to move my spread, I can pick up 80+ decoys and put them back out in less than 60 minutes. As the conditions I hunt have changed, I decided to try the 8 oz. weights on some new magnum mallards. They hold well in open windy areas. The rigging of the original anchors is pretty straight forward. Please post a video of how the 8 oz. Tanglefree anchors are designed to be rigged! There is nothing out there.
