Recently got this to add to my spread and tried it out and one side works phenomenally and gets great motion! The other side appears to have a defective swivel and sticks a lot when trying to move preventing it from spinning. When I reached out to possibly get a replacement I was told it was just the wind and to slap WD-40 on it, I did try putting some lubricant in the swivel but it still has the same lack of motion from the one arm. This is a bit pricier product especially since a pole isn’t included which I’m fine with but I was expecting to get a premium product/Service for the premium price.

Update: Tanglefree reached out directly to me and walked me through some troubleshooting and even offered to replace the arm after but the troubleshooting they recommended did work and fix the issue. Glad they reached out and really stood behind they’re product.

Bought my second whacker after atleast 10 years. Great for preseason before motorized season. Light and easy to pack on windy days.

I'm glad that Tanglefree acquired this product, I was looking for wind whackers in the off season as we had success with them in the past but couldn't find them anywhere. These work great to provide motion to your spread when you're unable to use motorized wing decoys and definitely get the birds looking. The slightest breeze gets the wind whackers spinning unlike other non-motorized spinning decoys I've used. The instructions say either a 3/4" or 1/2" conduit work, but I found that 1/2" works best as the 3/4" conduit from the big box stores measures off inside diameter

This is the easiest way to create good flash & movement for the first half of the California season!

I'm a huge fan of WindWhackers and believe them to be one of the most versatile motion decoys on the market. Typically set up one or two of these in a large duck or goose spread and watch them work relentlessly for hours under a light breeze. I own both the duck and goose set and they are by far my favorite for working in big groups of snows. Highly recommend this product.
