The waxed canvas had is something unique and allows it to shed water fast. Not too shiny so you can still wear it in the field.

Quality waxed cotton has been a classic head ware solution for decades reaching close to a century now for sportsman. This hat from Tanglfree does not disappoint in its tradition of wind and waterproof performance. Effective against the elements, light weight and looks great. Mine has yet to be re-conditioned/waxed.
